We've traveled so far and now here we are Where friends and neighbors meet In the cool of the fall, joy to us all At the faire on Chatham Street The colorful leaves, the soft, gentle breeze The smell of a bonfire so sweet Will pull to us all now that it's fall Down on Chatham Street So merry meet and merry part and merry meet again my friends We'll dance and we'll sing from now until spring Then we'll start all over again. We've worked in the sun, our long days are done The harvest is complete We'll share in the spoils of all of our toils At the faire on Chatham Street Winter is coming; my harp I'll be strumming As I dream of memories so sweet As I warm by the fire it's sure to inspire: The faire on Chatham Street. So merry meet and merry part and merry meet again my friends We'll dance and we'll sing from now until spring Then we'll start all over again. So merry meet and merry part and merry meet again my friends We'll dance and we'll sing from now until spring Then we'll start all over again.

My young love said to me my mother won't mind And my father won't slight you for your lack of kind And she stepped away from me and this she did say It will not be long love, till our wedding day. She stepped away from me and she moved through the fair And fondly I watched her move here and move there And she turned her way homeward with one star awake As the swan in the evening moves over the lake. The people were saying No two e'er were wed But one has a sorrow that never was said And she smiled as she passed me with her goods and her gear And that was the last that I saw my dear I dreamed it last night, that) my true love came in. So softly she entered her feet made no din. And she laid her hands on me and this she did say It will not be long love, till our wedding day.

How pleasant the banks of the clear winding Devon With green spreading bushes and flowers blooming fair But the bonniest flower on the banks of the Devon Was once a sweet bud on the braes of the Ayr. Mild be the sun on this sweet blushing flower, In the gay rosy morn, as it bathes in the dew; And gentle the fall of the soft vernal shower, That steals on each evening each leaf to renew. Oh spare the dear blossom, ye orient breezes, With chill hoary wing as ye usher the dawn; And far be thou distant, thou reptile that seizest The verdure and pride of the garden or lawn. Let Bourbon exult in his gay gilded lilies, And England triumphant display her proud rose: A fairer than either adorns the green valleys, Where Devon, sweet Devon, meandering flows. Let Bourbon exult in his gay gilded lilies, And England triumphant display her proud rose: A fairer than either adorns the green valleys, Where Devon, sweet Devon, meandering flows.

Oh the summertime is coming And the trees are sweetly blooming And the wild mountain thyme Grows around the bloomin’ heather Will you go laddie go? And we’ll all go together To pluck wild mountain thyme all around the bloomin’ heather. Will you go laddie go? I will build my love a bower By yon clear and crystal fountain And on it I will pile All the flowers of the mountain Will you go laddie go? And we’ll all go together To pluck wild mountain thyme all around the bloomin’ heather. Will you go laddie go? If my true love he won’t have me I will surely find another To pull wild mountain thyme All around the bloomin’ heather Will you go laddie go? And we’ll all go together To pluck wild mountain thyme all around the bloomin’ heather. Will you go laddie go? Oh the summertime is coming And the trees are sweetly blooming And the wild mountain thyme Grows around the bloomin’ heather Will you go laddie go? And we’ll all go together To pluck wild mountain thyme all around the bloomin’ heather. Will you go laddie go? And we’ll all go together To pluck wild mountain thyme all around the bloomin’ heather. Will you go laddie go? Will you go laddie go?

All year long we've waited for this moment Earth has given us her best The days are shorter, the nights are longer Now it's time for rest. As I walk through the blankets of fallen leaves And the skeletons of trees I hear a soft, sweet song in the distance Blowing on the breeze. It's a song of longing, it's a song of hope. It's a song of brighter days to come. It's a song of acceptance, and of understanding. It's the last song of autumn. The peaceful forest seems to embrace me As I journey on. Mesmerized as a forge ever onward Following this song. It's a song of longing, it's a song of hope. It's a song of brighter days to come. It's a song of acceptance, and of understanding. It's the last song of autumn. The cricket sings his sweet, lonely melody Softly rising from below Signaling the end of a season; Soon there will be snow. It's a song of longing, it's a song of hope. It's a song of brighter days to come. It's a song of acceptance, and of understanding. It's the last song of autumn. It's a song of longing, it's a song of hope. It's a song of brighter days to come. It's a song of acceptance, and of understanding. It's the last song of autumn.

The Fire 06:52
I saw a fire in the dark. It seemed to call my name. Mesmerized I started toward the flickering orange flame. So long I'd been in darkness, wandering without light. And so the distant blaze was a very welcome sight. At first I felt the glorious warmth; I saw the glowing light. It lit my way for many days and warmed me through the night. I loved to snuggle close beside the lovely glowing embers As the breezes chilled the air that dark night in September. Watch the flames; don't get to near. This is what I've learned. For if you get to close to it, you're going to get burned. Then without a warning the winds began to change. In a terrifying instant that fire began to rage. I tried to quench the violent flames that burned hot as the sun. But everything I tried in vain. My only choice was RUN! Watch the flames; don't get to near. This is what I've learned. For if you get to close to it, you're going to get burned. I turned to watch the roaring flames burn out of control Until there was nothing left but a blackened, ash-filled hole. Numb with grief in silence I ran into the night All alone, chilled to the bone, tears blinding my sight. Watch the flames; don't get to near. This is what I've learned. For if you get to close to it, you're going to get burned. Everyone looks better in firelight they say. But when my skin begins to burn, that's when I run away. My fires are much smaller now, no bigger than a candle. And while they fail to keep me warm, they're small enough to handle. Watch the flames; don't get to near. This is what I've learned. For if you get to close to it, you're going to get burned. Watch the flames; don't get to near. This is what I've learned. For if you get to close to it, you're going to get burned.

Are you going to Scarborough Fair Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Remember me to one who lives there He once was a true love of mine Tell him to make me a cambric shirt Parsley sage, rosemary and thyme Without any seams nor needle work And then he’ll be a true love of mine Tell him to find me an acre of land Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Between the salt water and the sea strands And then he’ll be a true love of mine Tell him to reap it with the sickle of leather Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme And gather it all with a bunch of heather And then he’ll be a true love of mine. Are you going to Scarborough Fair Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Remember me to one who lives there He once was a true love of mine.

Anyone who's lived knows how the story goes. First you're up, then you land on your nose. Well, rest a minute then get back up again. Soon you will soar through the clouds. Life is challenging when you're wandering With your broken wings dangling down. But the seas will change; winter turns to spring. Sunlight will come back around. Good fortune and blessing are just 'round the corner Just up the road, around the next bend. So hang onto hope. Your peace will return And your heart will be happy again. When you're feeling blue as we sometimes do Know you're not alone; there's others like you Who are sad or scared, lost or in despair Carrying heavy loads. A new day is coming though. Sunshine will melt the snow And the bright sunbeams will shine through the clouds. A new beginning, a happy new song to sing. Joy is coming your way. Good fortune and blessing are just 'round the corner Just up the road, around the next bend. So hang onto hope. Your peace will return And your heart will be happy again. Come with me and you will see that Life is beautiful, even in storms. It's a circle, a cycle, a wheel Turning round and round. Just remember though, when you're feeling low It won't stay that way...not very long. And before too long you will sing this song. You will be happy again. Good fortune and blessing are just 'round the corner Just up the road, around the next bend. So hang onto hope. Your peace will return And your heart will be happy again. Good fortune and blessing are just 'round the corner Just up the road, around the next bend. So hang onto hope. Your peace will return And your heart will be happy again.

I stand on the shore and look out o’er the sea And I wonder if anyone’s coming for me I’ve been out here for years. How long will it be Until my true love comes to find me? I’ve heard tales of sailors who sail the waves Braving the weather, fighting for days Some of them even end up in their graves While in search of the maiden so fair. All for the love of this maiden so fair; My eyes are like agates, your heart I can stare. My harp on the rocks, sea wind in my hair, I’m here love, yet you are out there So onward and onward the days pass me by. How long must I wait? How long will I cry? Please my true lover, kiss tear from my eye. Without you I surely will die. I’ll keep myself lovely, I'll keep myself strong. My feelings I'll hide; to show them is wrong. But deep down inside me my breast bursts with song. I’ve waited alone here so long. I’ll wait for the day that we’ll sail away. Oh how my heart will sing out on that day. And wrapped in his arms perhaps then I will say, “I knew, my true love, you would find me.” “I knew, my true love, you would find me.”
